Google AdWords and Conversion Tracking

We use Google Conversion Tracking and the Google AdWords advertising system to draw attention to the “Children at Risk” campaign. Our banners and other advertisements appear on websites that are connected to the Google advertising network. These indicators appear when certain words or combinations of words are present. At the moment we only use the AdWords display network, which shows our advertisements when certain keywords appear on the website you are visiting.

These ads are displayed to people who have a potential interest in this topic. To determine this, Google carries out an analysis for which cookies are used. Google places a cookie on the computer of the visitor to an Internet site if he clicks on an ad. This information is used to show visitors targeted advertisements.

Google and the advertiser also find out when a customer clicks on a particular ad and thus arrives at a landing page. This information is used to compile statistics that measure the success of an advertisement. No personal data is collected in the process. Only the data that are relevant to the creation of the statistics are registered, such as the total number of users, time remaining on the page and the number of conversions, i.e. the number of people who have registered on the target page.

You can specify in the browser settings that no cookies are stored on your computer. Then your visit will not be included in the user statistics.

The settings for advertisements or your own interests can also be changed. Instructions on how to completely deactivate cookies can be found in a search engine by entering “Activate or deactivate cookies” in the search field.

Further information on the cookie technology used can also be found in Google’s information on website statistics and in the data protection provisions.

The double opt-in procedure is used when logging into Feedburner. After entering the information, you will receive a confirmation e-mail in which you have to confirm your registration. Only then will you receive the blog updates through the Feedburner feed.

Revocation and termination: You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time and thus cancel the newsletter subscription. After your termination, your personal data will be deleted.
